August is an exciting month because there appears to be this perfect balance of fire and water. It can be a tad tumultuous, but in all the right ways. There is an acceptance that love does come with sacrifices, and perhaps Leo season is reminding us that since sacrificing is a part of life, then the only job we have is to decide what is worth sacrificing for. We start the month off with Mercury Retrograde in the sign of Leo and Jupiter now in its exaltation of Cancer. Despite Mercury Retrograde only lasting several weeks, Leo's flair for love, creativity, and intensity will surely get any water boiling at just the right temperature for some entertaining drama! Neptune is also in retrograde and we will have a Venus-Jupiter conjunction that increases our clarity regarding love and devotion, and helps us to align with what we truly want as well as refine our commitment to obtaining and maintaining it. In August, we are about to enter a challenging yet revitalizing time where certain things come to an end because we don't like it! What doesn't fit or is causing a disconnection is being removed.
