Spiritual Hygiene Essentials.
Every spiritual person needs a little cabinet of "treats" when they need a quick sprinkle of adjustment. These "treats" are for when life gets real and we need to shed draining or stagnant energies that may or may not be ours—the moments when we notice things are simply not going our way despite consistently doing our due diligence. This is not an entire glossary of what I recommend, but it is a good starting point for those who would like staples in their spiritual hygiene.
Sea Salt is always great to have on hand, but Black Salt is where it's at! Black Salt is used for spiritual protection in spiritual baths or around the home. It can ward off negative energy and keep unwanted spirits from your home. Black Salt can protect you and your environment from evil eye, jinxes, and people you prefer not to return to your home or life. Black walnut shells protect and cut the cord from people who no longer serve us. It helps with grounding and stability. Black walnut shells help enhance wisdom and knowledge. You can learn how to make a cord-cutting bath with black Salt and black walnut when you have energetic attachments to individuals from the past or are having a hard time letting things go that may have happened at home or in the workplace.
Bluing (Blue Anil) is used for purification and removing negative vibrations. One may use it in a spiritual bath and mop water to cleanse the house (a light sprinkle to avoid staining). Bluing is excellent for increasing spiritual and psychic awareness, welcoming good luck, and adding peace to one's life. Cascarilla is powdered eggshells that repel negative vibes and aid in purification and spiritual cleansing. Cascarilla can be used in white baths or sprinkled on your head and around the house to ward off negative or stagnant mental clutter and unwanted energy and invite spiritual protection.
Cedar incense or essential oil is considered the end all be all due to removing unwanted energy, negativity, or uninvited spirits in the home. Cedar aids in spiritual purification and spiritual protection. It can promote inner peace and self-assurance with an earthy essence that feels grounding. Cedar is excellent to use while praying and reflecting on dreams and visions we may have had, as its aroma may stimulate mental and psychic clarity. Frankincense and Myrrh are known as ancestor favorites as they can awaken our spiritual insight, making it easier to hear your ancestors or the Divine's voice. Frankincense and Myrrh are excellent for burning at least once a month or in moments of sadness or depression, as one of their beneficial properties is to relax and strengthen the mind. Lastly, it uplifts the energy in your environment and promotes emotional stability.
Rosemary and Eucalyptus Epsom Salt is the ultimate spiritual hack! It is meant to rejuvenate and replenish the aura. After sprinkling it in your bath, you may experience calm, peace, and harmony. It is intended to promote conscious thoughts and vitality. Rosemary and Eucalyptus are great for balancing the heart chakra, promoting stress relief and muscle pain relief. Can you see yourself enhancing your spiritual hygiene using some of the listed ingredients? This may not be a one-size-fits-all, and if you need more spiritual cleansing, please get the correct advice. However, try it for yourself and journal what comes up for you.
Some honorary mentions are Florida Water, Holy Water, Bible reading, consistent morning and night prayer, moving your body, and being active regarding exercise and life. Taking walks in nature and showing gratitude for life are some free things to do to adjust energy positively.
Till next time,
